Meet Our Staff

Dr. Michael Kiedrowski, DVM

Dr. Kiedrowski has been a managing partner at Dove Valley Animal Hospital since October 2003. He was a graduate of West Phoenix High School before attending. Northern Arizona University receiving his Bachelor of Science in Zoology. He finished his collegiate education at Colorado State University receiving his DVM degree in 1989. Post graduation, he returned to Arizona and began his real life training at Camelwest Animal Hospital before taking a position and becoming a partner at Mountain View Animal Hospital where he practiced until 2003. He studied in an internship in Avian / exotic medicine under Dr Susan Clubb in Florida. He has provided consulting work for The Phoenix Zoo, Out Of Africa, Wildlife World Zoo, Arizona Game & Fish, as well as the Animal Kingdom Stores, Pet Pad Stores and The Arizona Reptile Center. He has lectured on exotic animal medicine and husbandry to numerous groups including The Arizona Veterinary Medical Association, The Arizona Veterinary Health Care Team and the International Herpetological Symposium. He spent 6 years on the board of The Arizona Herpetological association and is a consulting veterinarian for The National Turtle and Tortoise Association. He is a member of The Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians.

Personal

He was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin where he learned to chase frogs and snakes in the local swamp. His family moved to Arizona in 1968. As a small child his career choices included Paleontology, Herpetology and Veterinary Medicine. After being informed that all the dinosaurs were dead, Paleontology was dropped from the list. In college he realized that opportunities for herpetologists were very limited so Veterinary Medicine became the top choice.

His hobbies include spending time with his wife and two sons. In his spare time he breeds reptiles and restores old pinball machines to sell or add to his collection.

Dr. Rebecca Johnson, DVM

Dr. Johnson graduated from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in Massachusetts in 2007. She grew up in Rochester, NY, and in 2000, received her BA in Art History and Psychology from Rice University in Houston, TX. After spending many long, dark winters in the northeast, Dr. Johnson and her husband decided that they had shoveled themselves out of their last blizzard and set their sights on warmer climates. They both enjoy hiking and outdoor sports, and they are excited to explore Phoenix and the surrounding areas as they learn about their new hometown. At home, Dr. Johnson spends her free time reading, cooking, and reading about cooking. She and her husband live with two adorable mutts, Sparkle and Wrigley, whose favorite activities include sleeping on the couch and protecting the house from rogue squirrels.

Jodi - Manager

Hi! My name is Jodi. I am the practice manager at Dove Valley Animal Hospital. I have been at Dove Valley for a little over 2 years. I have been working in the veterinary field since 1994, and cannot see myself doing anything else. I love it! Before I came here, I managed a 4 doctor practice in central Phoenix. I worked there for almost 10 years. After that practice was sold, I settled myself with Arrow Service Group where I was fortunate enough to work at several of our sister hospitals before settling in at Dove Valley. I’m very fortunate to be working with a wonderful staff and excellent doctors. My husband and I have a golden retriever named Linus, a boxer named Spot, a pug named Molly, and a goldfish named Sunshine.

Ashley

My name is Ashley Franklin and I am a Kennel tech at Dove Valley Animal Hospital. I attend Boulder Creek High School and am currently a senior. I have a schnauzer named Hanna and a gray faced cockatiel named Zoey who enjoys hanging out on my shoulder and giving kisses. I enjoy going to work, school and playing video games in my spare time.

Brittnee

My name is Brittnee Southland I am currently a veterinary assistant at Dove Valley Animal Hospital but started off as kennel. I am currently attending Oregon State University in the hopes that I will be a veterinarian myself. I continue to work at Dove Valley during my off months at school and wouldn’t have it any other way. I don’t have any animals myself due to the fact that they are not warmly welcomed in the dorms, but I take care of my mother’s dog, Sunny, who is a cavalier king charles spaniel and my aunt’s dog, Lilly, who is a miniature pinscher.

Casandra

I am Casandra Gustafson and I am a Kennel Tech at Dove Valley. I enjoy my job and am pleased about the fact that I have a job that I actually want to go to. When not working I love to read and draw, and volunteer at the Phoenix Herpetological Society (PHS). I have two cats, Whiskers and Princess, a tortoise named Speedy, and a bearded dragon named Demyx.

Danielle

My name is Danielle Duda. I started working at Dove Valley in January of 2008 as a Veterinary Assistant. I enjoy the new things I learn everyday and appreciate the co-workers who are willing to help teach me. I am 21 years of age and I live with my German Shepherd Ozwald. In my spare time I like reading magazines, going to Chipotle, and being around my friends and family.

Emily

My name is Emily. I am 22 years old and was born and raised in Cave Creek, Az. I graduated from Pinnacle High School as an honor student in 2002 and I am now a full time student at Scottsdale Community College. In July 2004 I completed a 6 month veterinary technician training course which has significantly helped me to undertake the challenges of this field. I now work as a full time employee at Dove Valley Animal Hospital and have been here for over two years. I absolutely love my job and I work with a wonderful group of people. I have had a lot of animals throughout my life, but at this current time I have 3 indoor/outdoor cats (Tilly, Pumpkin, and Otis), 2 kittens (Ivan and Isabella), and 2 adorable black labs (Ziggy and Annie).

Haylee

My name is Haylee; I was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. I have one younger sister and no brothers. I graduated from Peoria High School in 2001 and shortly after I moved up to Payson to start working in the veterinary field. I worked up there for a year and moved back down to Phoenix to work in a clinic that was a little faster paced. I worked at that clinic for 2 and a half years, and then decided to move on to a place that would allow me to advance my skills. I now work for Dove Valley Animal Hospital and have for the past year and a half. I love my job and the people I work with are the greatest :). I have a houseful of critters of course. I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 sugar gliders, and a macaw. We also have my parents 2 dogs, 2 cats, and my sister’s 1 dog.

Jon

Technician and supervisor at Dove Valley Animal Hospital since 2002. Jonathan has a degree in Business Management and Political Science. Currently he is majoring in Life Science. Jonathan enjoys talking to his clients and patients. Dentistry is his favorite subject. Outside the veterinary field, Jonathan likes art, music, playing soccer and kick boxing. At home Jonathan has 3 silver sharks and a bearded dragon. Jonathan is Dove Valley Animal Hospital's "Best Kept Secret".

Mari

I grew up in Danville, Illinois and moved to Phoenix Arizona in 1967. I currently live in Desert Hills, Arizona with my husband and three dogs, and I recently purchased a a black Tennessee Walking horse colt, Glider. I worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at St. Joes Hospital and then in 1975, I made a career change and began work at an Emergency Animal Clinic in 1978. I worked as a veterinary technician at four other hospitals in Phoenix. I have worked for Dove Valley Animal Hospital the past five years and really enjoy it. My favorite co-worker and superhero is Jon Kabir.

Shelly

My name is Shelly Hamilton and I just started at Dove Valley Animal Hospital in September of '06. I worked at a Mexican food restaurant for almost seven years and The Boulder's Resort for about a year. I got my GED in 2000 and am looking into medical billing and make-up artistry schooling. Growing up we had cats, dogs, horses and rabbits. I currently have two cats named Fred and Callie.

Traci

My name is Traci. I am 34 years old and live in Glendale with my husband of 12 years and my two sons. I have two cats named Old Mama Thing and Sweet Pea. I started in this field as a kennel tech back in 1991 at a clinic in Duncan, OK. I moved here in 1993 and went to work at the Arizona Humane Society as a technician for 4 years. In 1997, I started working for Dr. Snodgrass and Dr. Kiedrowski at Mountain View Animal Hospital, where I gained most of my knowledge and experience. I have been at Dove Valley for 2 ½ years, and I love coming to work every day.
